Verification process
We classify the claim and identify the source best suited to verify it. Depending on the issue, we may compare controlled product documentation, project requirements, standards, primary technical sources, or approved records. We then determine whether the content is correct, outdated, incomplete, unclear, or unsupported.
Safety, compliance, model identity, exact specifications, system interfaces, application boundaries, and other decision-relevant issues receive priority. We do not state a fixed response deadline because complex questions may require document checks or subject review.
Types of change
Minor correction
We may fix spelling, grammar, formatting, navigation, or a clarification that does not change the meaning without a separate correction notice.
Material correction
If a change alters a conclusion, important fact, technical boundary, model specification, system interpretation, or purchasing implication, the page receives a visible “Corrected” or “Updated” notice. The notice explains the substance of the change and, when useful, why it was necessary.
Replacement or withdrawal
If reliable correction is not possible, or continued access may cause a consequential misunderstanding, we may replace, restrict, or withdraw the page. When practical, the original URL will state what happened and direct readers to an appropriate current resource.
Evolving information
A change in products, standards, availability, or project practice does not always mean the original page was wrong. We update previously accurate material when it is superseded and choose a notice based on the significance of the change. Current controlling documents remain more authoritative than an older webpage.
Records and confidentiality
We retain enough information to understand the report, evidence, decision, and published change. Public notices do not disclose confidential customer, supplier, project, employee, or personal information.
Evidence disputes
Some technical questions involve assumptions or professional judgment rather than one indisputable fact. When credible evidence is incomplete or conflicts, we may clarify the assumptions, limits, or range of interpretations instead of labeling one view as a factual correction.
