How we choose sources
The best source depends on the claim. We generally prefer:
- current product documentation, controlled drawings, manuals, test records, and written project requirements;
- applicable standards, regulators, standards bodies, and other primary technical sources;
- approved project evidence that can be shared without exposing confidential parties or information;
- established research institutions, professional bodies, and clearly attributed technical publications; and
- secondary sources used to provide context or locate stronger evidence.
System and application content
An automation system is not evaluated by the robot arm alone.
